  • Busy Fall

Wow! It has been a whirl wind of Fall activites.  Since my last blog the big news was that Eliot broke his leg jumping on the trampoline.  He spent 5 weeks in a cast being carried, pushed and dragging himself along.  Then he finally got his cast off the day before Shea's birthday but still had three weeks of no running, jumping, etc.  Finally, he got the all clear and was off and running.  He still has a little limp but is doing great.

The next activity was Shea's Birthday and Soccer!  Shea turned 7 and we went bowling with some friends.  A few days later he finally lost his first tooth!

Shea's Soccer team is undefeated as of today and he plays his first semi final game tonight!  It has been fun to see the progress and the games are a lot more fun to watch this year.  We will let you know the out come.

The other thing that keeps us busy is Beata has been given a part in the Nutcracker so that is an extra day a week of ballet.  Beata and Shea continue to do violin and are enjoying it.

The other big celebration we had was Alexander turned one.  He delayed his celebration as Nathan was in Rome on his actual Birthday and this way Aunt Lisa could come too.  We decided to make his cake in the shape of a bathtub as Xander LOVES bath time.  The other night he climbed into the tub with his diaper still on.

We had a wonderful  anniversary celebration.  It is hard to believe that it has been seventeen years.  We have seen so much and had so many wonderful experiences together we are looking forward to the next seventeen years.  It was not terribly romantic but we left Friday afternoon and drove to Pensacola FL.  I drove so Nathan could study.  It had been twelve years since we had been there.  Anyhow we went to the beach drove by our old house and then went out for a wonderful dinner.  The kids had shrimp and probably the best cheese grits any of us have ever had.  We topped it off wi with key lime pie.  It was a great evening for overlooking the bay and watching the sunset.  Saturday started with a nice run along the beach and then we went to the Naval Aviation Museum.  IMG_0913Then we finally got to the beach for a couple of hours before heading home.  It was a really nice get away for all of us.  The kids LOVED the beach and Shea said he would even give up snow to live down there!

Then on Saturday evening after we got home Xander started walking!  So he is ten months old and loving life.
